BLUE CHAMPA
Blue champa flowers adorn this wall sconce. Inspired by blue Chinese and Persian pottery – which dates back to the 14th century and before, our blue champa wall sconce is a graceful addition to your wall.
Blue pottery was a revolution of sorts: it first became popular in Chinese porcelain – when it was discovered that cobalt could withstand the ultra-high temperatures required for glazing, and then quickly took the world by storm – spiraling inspirations in Islamic ceramics, Japan, and later, in Europe.
Blue Champa is handmade from banana fiber paper and coconut fronds. This lightweight sconce will provide a wonderful background to a medium-sized light (8-11 watts say).
Size: 32 cm diameter
Care instructions: Use with LED light or CFL Bulb. Dust lightly with a feather-duster or a felt cloth once in 3 months (or depending on dust conditions in your area).
Installation: installs onto basic light fittings (the old models work better). Unscrew the top portion of the light fitting touching the metal holder, place sconce into the hole, screw back on and then fit in the light.
Order time: All our products are made-to-order. They will take at least ten days to make, and then ship to you. Please write to us on coconessindia@gmail.com or lighterthan@gmail.com if you have any questions.
